We have over a year before the start of our first trek – The Colorado Trail.
A year seems like a long time, but we all know it will be here before we know it! Gear lists are being made, we are planning our group meetings, the horses are being chosen for this trip – The excitement is thriving, and the realization of what lies ahead is slowly growing upon us. July 1, 2017 will be here soon.
The adventure has only started.
Days and nights will be spent out with just our friends and horses. Tired of the same food, amazed by the beauty, cautious of slight unknown may lay ahead of us. We have studies the trails, planned our best, though we still know anything can happen. But we will continue on, step by step, caring for our horses, and making memories as we go.
Our adventure will have only just started.
So let us introduce ourselves: We are Limitless. A group of women who are striving to make a difference. In 2017, we will be heading out on horseback on a trail to tough it out for 500 miles – approximately a month of riding. We are riding for independence, for freedom, the trails, second chances, adventures, and the horses. In 2020, we will be heading out on the Pacific Crest Trail a ride that will take us 2,700 miles from the border of Mexico to Canada, traveling through California, Oregon, and Washington.
There are not that many people who would plan such a long trip in the wilderness on a horse, but it is the idea that we are striving to achieve our wildest dreams that sets us apart. You can sit around, dream, and imagine how it would be, but if you never at least try, what is the point? Yes, the road may get bumpy at times, but sometimes it just takes a little courage, some tenacity, and grit to reach your goals.
Each horse chosen for this trek has it’s own, unique story. Whether they have been rescued, adopted, or just given a second chance, they are all here as our backbone, and the most we can do for them is prove the worthiness of these horses. Most horses, such as those that end up in unfortunate situations, are looked down upon, and we want to show the world that these horses can be useful and can make some of the best companions one could ask for.
So our adventure has just begun!
Spread the word: Are you limitless?
